Kenneth Cummings is a native from Memphis, Tennessee who has always been a visual artist beginning at a young age behind a VHS Video Camera at his church. He made the transition from video to still photography in 2002.

Kenneth started his photojournalism journey with his high school year book during his junior year. He joined the Memphis Teen Appeal -- a newspaper whose content is put together by high school students in the Memphis City School system in Memphis, Tennessee -- as a photographer in 2003. He found his passion in photography and never looked back. He felt that it was GOD's route for him.


Kenneth attended Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN where he joined The Meter, TSU's Student Publication, as a staff photographer. He later became the Photo Editor from 2005-2008. He received his degree in Speech Communications and Theater with a concentration in Mass Communications.


Kenneth is employed with The Jackson Sun, a USAToday Network Newspaper in Jackson, TN, as a full time photojournalist/videographer. He has earned 9 Tennessee Associated Press Media Editors Awards including numerous first place awards.
